• HSA Bylaws

The Home and School Association is the parent support organization. Officers of this organization are elected. All families are encouraged to attend the HSA meetings and to participate in its function. All hours worked during an HSA function are counted as School Support hours. HSA officers for the '05-06' school year are:

• Vivian Diokno , Treasurer

HSA Activities

Some volunteer activities are managed by HSA. HSA also sponsors a variety of social activities for families and adults throughout the year.


Auction/Adult Social

St. Jude Catholic School periodically has an Auction/Adult Social to raise funds for the school. It is a fun filled evening. Volunteers are needed to provide auction items, to set-up, decorate, serve refreshments and cleanup.

Catholic Schools Week

This event is held at the end of January – beginning of February of each year. It is a time when we celebrate why we have chosen Catholic education for our children. Volunteers are needed for a variety of functions that include decorating the school, being a host or hostess at the Open House and assisting with the teachers’ luncheon (set-up, buying of supplies, decorating, serving and clean-up, etc.).

Breakfast With Santa

Each year at the beginning of December, the entire family can enjoy dining with Santa. Individuals and organizations donate food and gifts. Volunteers are needed to assist with set up, serving, clean up, etc.

Secret Santa Shop

This activity enables the children to purchase presents for their family and friends with the help of Santa’s elves. Volunteers are needed to set up, shop and assist children purchasing gifts. The activity runs during Breakfast with Santa.

Family Socials

During the course of the school year, we will sponsor social events for the students and their families. (roller skating, swimming, school dance, etc.). Parents are needed to arrange telephoning, tickets, flyers, etc. This may be done at home.

Fund Raising

One of our traditional fund raisers is a gift wrap. Gift-wrap is sold early in September. Volunteers are needed to assist with this program totaling, unpacking and distributing orders. A variety of other fund-raising activities are reviewed each year.

Hospitality Committee

Volunteers are needed to serve on this committee that provides decorating, food, etc. for New Parents Night, Teachers Luncheon, HSA Meetings and other special events during the year.

New Parent Sponsors

Volunteers are needed as sponsors for new families entering the school. Volunteers will be responsible for assisting new families to acclimate themselves to the policies, procedures, activities and events of the school. Volunteers must also attend New Parents Night in August.
